Jar test apparatus mainly used in flocculation/ Coagulation/ Sedimentation experiments for testing water-soluble polymers. It is a Laboratory stirring instrument designed for the wastewater treatment industry. The jar test apparatus stimulates the operation after stirring, chemical dosing & mixing which can help in large-scale operations.
The digital Jar test apparatus is a very advanced instrument for Jar Test Calculation in Treatment plants. The jar Test Experiment determines the coagulation and flocculation with the help of the jar Test apparatus. Jar test Experiments depend on the objective of the experiments which is based on sedimentation, the performance of coagulants & PH results. The jar test procedure for water treatment helps in the jar test for an optimum dosage of alum. Jar Test Coagulation can be determined only when you test samples in the jar at a speed of 4 RPM to 16 RPM. High speed will not allow coagulation of the treated water when undergoing the Jar test.

- DC Motor and Speed Controller are two main parts of the jar test flocculation which are connected by electric wiring cables for easy maintenance.
- Stirring heads are very easy to operate & can be lifted easily at the time of placing beakers.
- Yatherm high precision stepper DC motor with DC drive is controlled by a speed knob regulator.
- Jar tester can be operated at different speeds – The minimum speed of a jar tester is 5 RPM
- The base of the jar test apparatus is always illuminated with a white LED light which allows the user to observe the formation of the alum and, the size of the alum which is settling down in the bottom.

What Is Jar Test?
The jar Test is primarily the catalytic chemical reaction used in the chemical treatment of sewage & Effluent treatment plants. Jar tester stimulates the flocculation process of wastewater treatment which helps the plant operator in the calculation of the total chemicals required for the treatment plant.
During the jar test we added chemicals to the sample of water and the Apparatus started stirring at a normal speed which formed the turbidity in the water. With the help of the Jar Test apparatus, we got to know the adjustments of the number of chemicals & the progression in which they should be added. The jar test apparatus helps in identifying the process for full-scale treatment plants. The operator of the plants can perform various types of lab tests to check the amount of treatment chemical agents at different pH values for different sizes of floc.
Jar Test Apparatus Principle
Digital Flocculator works on the principle of stirring from the top by spindles at low RPM speed. Low-speed stirring provides information on the coagulation & flocculation of untreated water in the jar. The speed regulator can fix the speed and the display will show accurate results of RPM. Jar Test calculation is based on coagulation and develops in a jar only after mixing Samples at low-speed RPM.
