What Is a Vibration Combined Temperature Humidity Test Chamber

A product is exposed to various mechanical loads during its life cycle, both during transport and in normal operation. To make sure the product can actually take that load, we simulate it in the lab with vibration tests. Electrodynamic shakers excite vibrations in the component for vibration analysis and modal analysis, and the same shakers are used for in-service life tests where high frequencies are applied over extended periods.
Our vibration test chamber range can be interfaced with various types of vertical or horizontal shaker, with a lifting system through a worm drive activated via a touch screen panel or remotely. Different floors are built for each type of shaker. Sizes run from several litres upward, with other sizes available on request, temperature ranges from minus 99°C to plus 200°C, humidity between 10% and 98%, and temperature variation rates of 5, 10, or 15°C per minute. A wide range of accessories, options, and a remote monitoring system come standard on request.
How Vibration Climatic Testing Actually Works
A vibration and temperature chamber runs a high and low ramp rate in temperature and humidity while the vibration environment is active at the same time. These chambers are designed for high or low relative humidity and high or low temperature range, compatible with mechanical and electrodynamic vibration systems. The vibration table is built for testing very small electronic components, and the environmental test chamber gives you combined temperature, humidity, and vibration testing in one piece of equipment instead of three separate rigs.
MIL-STD-202 lays out two vibration testing methods, one for high frequency and one for sweep testing. Method 520 in MIL-STD-810 covers combined environment testing more broadly, which is the standard a lot of defence and aerospace buyers reference when they ask for temperature, humidity, and vibration to run together rather than in isolation.
Method 201, Vibration, High Frequency: used to calculate how components withstand high frequency vibration on the vibration shaker. Frequency range runs 10 Hz to 2000 Hz, acceleration levels go up to 20 G, test duration is 4 hours per axis for 12 hours total, waveform is sinusoidal, and sweep rate is 1 octave per minute.
Method 204, Vibration, Sweep: tests whether a component can withstand vibration across a range of frequencies on the shaker. Same frequency range of 10 Hz to 2000 Hz and acceleration up to 20 G, 12 hours total test duration at 4 hours per axis, sinusoidal waveform, and a sweep rate of 1 octave per minute with a minimum of 4 complete cycles.

Built Around Your Shaker, Not the Other Way Round
Advanced chambers for vibration and temperature testing, whether floor-standing or on feet, are widely approved by users. Volumes run from several litres to several cubic metres, with temperature ranges from minus 99°C to 200°C and beyond. Every chamber is built to sit according to the shaker the customer already owns, supporting multivalence and test modes such as hot, cold, and hot-cold-humidity together.
The flexibility of the manufacturing process allows two build approaches for the environmental test chamber: the test volume can rise forward with a vibrating jar or a movable plate that slips under the chamber, or the chamber can be lifted by feet with the camera positioned simply on top of the shaker. A perfect seal is guaranteed between the shaker and the chamber either way, and an additional plate lets the same chamber be used in conventional mode too, without a shaker attached. The vibration frequency is varied logarithmically between roughly 10 Hz and 2,000 Hz, though the Method 201 procedure can be applied within the 10 to 55 Hz band when the test calls for it.
Very easy operation: a worm-type lifting system, managed by a touch screen control panel, adapts the test cabin to any shaker height. Horizontal movement can be added on request, which is especially useful if the shaker supports both vertical and horizontal movement, or if more than one shaker needs to share the same chamber.
Great flexibility: different backgrounds for vertical and horizontal vibrations adapt to any existing shaker. If you need to use the chamber without a shaker in place, a blind bottom is available. The test cabin runs off a detachable control panel mounted on the right side.
Construction, Safety and Control System

This is high-end equipment with a lot of electrical and mechanical components that need to run accurately and safely for the operator, so we build every unit to international safety standard. Built-in protections include overtemperature protection, empty-burn prevention, a circuit breaker, exhaust fan overload protection, circulating fan overload protection, a no-fuse switch, phase sequence protection, and an audible buzzer for fault conditions.
Standard models come in available sizes of several litres, with a temperature range of minus 99°C to 200°C and a humidity range of 10% to 95% within the plus 10°C to plus 95°C temperature band. Three temperature variation rates are available: 5, 10, or 15°C per minute. Custom sizes are also available from 8 to 64 cubic feet, roughly 230 litres to 1810 litres, for buyers who need something outside the standard range.

| Blind Bottom Option | Lets you run standard climatic tests in the same chamber when no shaker is mounted, so it doubles as a regular environmental chamber. |
| Perfect Seal Between Shaker and Chamber | Keeps temperature and humidity from leaking out around the shaker interface during a combined test run. |
| Detachable Side Control Panel | Gives operators easy access without reaching over or around the shaker assembly. |
| Multi-Layered Vacuum Glass Viewing Window | Lets you visually monitor the sample under vibration without opening the chamber and losing set conditions. |
| Digital Electronic Indicators with PID Control | Delivers accurate, repeatable temperature and humidity control across long combined-environment test cycles. |
| Programmable Controller (120 Profiles, up to 1200 Steps Each) | Runs complex multi-stage vibration and climatic test sequences automatically, without babysitting the chamber. |
