How To Work Safely Co2 Incubator

1. Follow the Required room temperature and humidity

  • Room Temperature – 20°C to 24 °C
  • Room Humidity – 30% – 75%

2. Co2 Incubator used for incubating tissue & cells, Never Load samples with unknown or potentially harmful components.

3.  Never leave the door of the Co2 incubator open during operations, for a long door opening exposes the chamber to normal room contaminants.

4.  Ensure proper spacing between the samples.

5.  There must be adequate ventilation around the unit, Allow proper heat and gas dissipation.

6.  Don’t place the unit near the flammable material or devices that produce excess heat.

7.  Never place the unit directly on the floor to avoid direct contaminants entering the chamber.

8.  Ensure the unit is connected to the proper power source to avoid electrical hazards.

9. Install a two-stage gas pressure regulator on the unit’s gas tank to prevent over-pressurization.

10.  Avoid direct contact with the Co2/N2 gas while working around the unit it may be suffocating.

11. Never use chlorinated tap water for filling the humidity Pan, as chlorine deteriorates the Stainless steel components & it will build up the scale on the humidity pan.

12. Check UV lamp functionality within 1o seconds to ensure minimal exposure to the user from UV radiation.
